Building the Icons
To run Iconeer, just double-click its icon. After the program is on and running, Builder window appears. This is the main window where you can build your icons. The window is divided into several logical parts dedicated to certain steps you need to do to build your icons.
| 1. | Open an image by selecting Open Image item of File menu, or by clicking Open... button in the Image section of the main window. You can open several images one by one and use them for particular icon sizes and masks. All images will be listed under Recent tab of Image section. |
| 2. | Build desired icon sizes, depths and masks using Build menu or using arrows in the Classic & New Icons and OS X Icons sections of the main window. You can also drag images from the Image section directly to desired icon cells. |
| 3. | Preview the icon on various background colors and pictures using the controls in the Background section. |
| 4. | Once you are satisfied with the icon, configure its Icon Suite. This means which icon sizes and depths will be included in saved icon's resources/data. |
| 5. | Select Output format of the icon. You can save icon as a custom file/folder icon, .icns file, resource fork, etc. Then you can configure destination folder where the icon will be saved. |
| 6. | Click Save Icon button or choose Save Icon item of the File menu to save icon to selected destination. You are done! |
